Hardwire vs. Wireless
When to use the Hardwire?
Three
reasons to use the Hardwire Ear-Prompter System. First, the Hardwire
is less expensive for beginners to learn how to use the
Ear-Prompter. Second, the Hardwire is a great backup Ear-Prompter
in case you drop or loose your Wireless Ear. Third, the
Hardwire is a direct wire from your ear to the recorder;
therefore, you will get less interference.
When
not to use the Hardwire?
The
Hardwire is not as concealable as the Wireless Ear Bud.
The Director has less angles he can use. Most professional
Ear-Prompter talent use the Wireless.
Why
is IMS Hardwire the best equipment available?
The
IMS Hardwire system is the most concealable. It has a
clear straight loop, not curly wires that stick out of
your ear. The receiver is small and flesh tone. The cables
are the highest quality available. Expert Ear-Prompter
talent has approved this combination of equipment.
How
do I use the Hardwire?
Put
the ear tip in your ear. Wrap the clear loop around the
back of your ear. Use a safety pen to secure the cable
down the back of your shirt. Plug the adapter cable plug
into recorder jack.
